My good friend Robert Edwards and myself just got back from a wildlife observing trip in West Texas. We were able to observe three alterna in three nights out there.
This one was found near Comstock.

This one was also observed near Loma alta.

This was the highlight of the trip. This snake was viewed in the vicinity of Tapado Canyon around 1:30a.

Other animals observed include: Hypsiglena, Subocs, molossus, atrox, Arizona, Thamnophis marcianus and Masticophis.

I am sure Robert will share his pics, good quality pics at some point too.

Congrats guys! Thanks for the phone calls over the weekend giving me the play-by play action. You guys obviously had a great time. That river road animal is outstanding.

Haha Scott, marcianus strikes again! Damn fine alterna, and you 2 shoulda given me a heads up, I was there. Are you two following this HCU thing? I remember Robert having some probs with the other org's rules about collecting. Make sure he sees this one's, I think you both would be served well to join us, how's the foot? Again, damn fine live snake and nice views from the "sanctuary"!
