I did and that pied was amazing looking. My favorite morph of all. Good show that mike is a crack up. gotta give the guy credit their are not many people that would just jump in and handle those big snakes. I would be nervous to grab the head of somthing that big knowing it is not nice.
Well the pied and Carmel have been long gone for awhile now. He posted them on Kingsnake about 2 months ago ad sold them. So they must have taped that show about 2 months back or more. But that was the Snake Farm out of New Braunfels, Texas. It is a really cool place to see. They have everything there.

It was a good show. That Mike Rowe is a funny guy and pretty gutsy too! It was funny when the camera man crashed into the opened glass door on that neodesha cage the albino burm was in. That scared the sh@# out of him just as he was about to grab his first snake of the day.
I really enjoyed the show.
Hey thats is cool.
Anyone know who's collection it was? thanks
Derek

I watched it. It was great. My daughter and I have actually been there and she held the albino they showed in the beginning. It is a really cool place. They have so much. Beautiful Pied ball they showed.
I just caught the end when Mike was cleaning the alligator pool.
Now I gotta see it!
Mike does have some stones. I have seen episodes where he has done a wide variety of some pretty daring stuff. I like that he just does these different jobs in his street cloths like the actually workers do and he doesnt dress in a bunch of whimpy harnesses or masks and Hollywood safety suits.
T-shirt, jeans and a pair of gloves like a man!

I liked the show as well, although it seemed that they really packed their cages...

The balls that were seen on the show were the ones that were apart of the TW Collection. The male Caramel that you saw is the very same one that produced all of the Het Caramels and Caramels that I sold this season. Me and Eric owned TW Intl Inc. together for around 10 years and are still great friends today and still do allot of herp stuff on almost a daily basis. I will say first hand that the snakes ( as well as all animals ) at the snake farm are in great condition. Trust me when I say to all of the skeptics that I can talk from experience that when you have a collection that big as well as it being a tourist attraction it is hard to make everyone happy. You can see those very same snakes as well as many others apart of the snake farm on my photo gallery here on Kingsnake under the username Wyatt.
Thanks,
Wyatt
Congrats on the great media coverage! Every little positive bit helps the hobby!
I must say that I love that caramel!
was really good..any exposier on national TV is what we need..and the snake farm looked really nice and big enclosiers and all..I think its what we needed to be positive!
also Eric and crew are true reptile people..Good Job.
Loved it!! Mike Rowe is so darn funny. "steady as a rock, but this is my snake wrangling hand". lol

OK...I LOVE the show......I love Mike Rowe........he is cool and all ,yea yea yea,,.......when they were like 20 miles from me here he should have came by.I'd have taken him to work with me..I'd have gotten him totally filthy for sure....
......anyways.....caramel and pied were sweet.......adult ones and all......
......noone notice?..........they took retics from a huge cage then threw in boas........good thing it is worse to go the other way around........didn't see them clean the pool or the glass or change the mulch at all....just switch snakes.........that's against what we all preach in here all the time....
also when they grabbed the retics.....IF you grab them by the neck...of course they are gonna try and fight and bite.....I am not saying 'tics won't bite anyways......but grabbing the neck even makes burms crazy......much easier to not grab neck......the amel retic wasn't attacking Mike at all ,and he was pretty close to it for awhile before he got the courage to actually grab it...........(and they really weren't "BIG snake Big snake"....like he thinks/said they are...)......they get ALOT bigger.......
..........YES I love the show.....but after they switched the boas into the cage I just had to leave it and go to bed........I couldn't take it anymore......
OH OH OH>>>>>........and NONNE mentioned the guns on that woman..........Yea......they were nice.......

Haha, that woman had some serious canons! I wouldn't want to meet her in a dark alley!
And yea, the part where they switched them but didn't clean? Not sure what was up with that.
"i didn't hear you with the wind and the trucks, but did you just say you need to jump on that alligator"
"No, I said 'We', as in you and me"
"I know what 'we' means"
Great show!

you sit in the car...I'll meet her in a dark alley......
LOL
.................just like most pet shops.......set up cages and just add new snakes as you sell the old one....leave the mulch in it anyways.......

Check out the Boa forums. They were all fairly disgusted with the portrayal of red tails as aggressive, and had similar issues with the snake swapping without tank cleaning topic mentioned in another post. I personally didn't see anything as a big deal...the show is for entertainment and of course they are going to dramatize things. The key demographic isn't herpers so they are going to "fluff" things up. Would it be great if they were more realistic with how they handled some things? Sure. But that doesn't get ratings or sell sponsor ads.
