super brooks in the Classifieds now, though i have seen animals called super brooks and dont look anything like the dogs pictured for sale, you would think that someone in the buis should have a lil experience/education to research ,like that guy who put the lemon king in there "Oh that was Me"atleast i spoke with a few of the best before labeling it.
what is the proper ediquite for such labeling with out knowing the founder or originator.C

I think that etiquette was thrown out the window some time ago by some, hahaha. It makes it a little more difficult for a customer to discern truth from BS. I think that buyers should be obliged to verify bloodlines or genetics if the customer asks. Also I think the customer is responsible to do their homework on bloodlines and genetics to know what it is they want. The only time I have been "burned" was on an impulse buy where I didn't do my homework.
I think customers should aslo be aware of industry trends, such as corns labelled okeetee or fla kings labelled brooksi. That's a brooksi? Prove it...( what is a brooksi?!?)
A named trait should probably accompany something that's been proven to be heritable, though some don't seem to want to wait several generations anymore. A unique or unproven trait could be named to help marketing, but should also be noted as unproven.
did I stay on topic?

I wonder if the "super brooksi" that have been showing are the result of discussion on them that happened here.

I wonder if the right people here pulled a non existing morph name out of their arse and started to talking about it and how cool it is, if morphs by that name would show up for sale ...

IE if Bluerosy started talking about monkey brooksi - would someone list monkey brooksi?

I see it all the time. Especially with Brooksi and Goini. Matter of fact I just found a Lav Speckled King listed as Lav Brooksi right after Zennys Hybino pics got us talking about Lavenders.

A few months back I had started a lot of discussions on the Pit forums about Southern Pine variants. That week suddenly all these new ads popped up. Coincedence? I doubt it and most were mislabeled too.

A lot of us on here get angry at misrepresentation. We try to make things clear for people and I am sure we influence some to do the right thing. I think that others use info on here to market their animals which sometimes are so far off the mark it is ridiculous. That's why as redundant as it gets, we should simply never stop talking about how to properly identify things as best as we can. An honest mistake is one thing. But I can not tell you how many times I reply to a calssified ad to tell someone they've made a mistake and they reply and even say thanks and do NOT change the ad......... All we can do is try ya know.

The best example is Rainers pics from Daytona of normal low grade Lav Brooksi with Sulfur Lav labels on the deli cup and a steep price tag. Pathetic and there's more ot that story that can not be posted on here but the example speaks volumes
