T negative (red eye) albino X Lavender

Bluerosy Jul 11, 2007 07:59 PM

Bred my double het T negative X Lavender brooks kings and did not get a double reccessive but did get a surprise.

As it turns out I forgot the sulfur lavender brooks I bred to the T negative amel was also het for axanthic. So in the clucth I get 6 normal- one lavender- one lavender snow and one T NEGATIVE SNOW.

Unfortunatly the two snows did not survive except for a few short minutes after I took them out of the egg. As you can see one has red eyes and is much whiter that the lavender snow. This would have been a first for a T negative snow in brooks (florida) kings..

As the T negative was taking its last breaths the eyes were red and right when this pic was taken you can see the color drained and it looks white. Weird.

Oh well I have some triple het Ghost X T negative pipping right now.

I think the T negative snow would have been quite striking as an adult. Nothing like a lavender snow. Probably more like a frosted corn or something like that. What do you think?

Oh and for corn snake fanatics... what do the call a lavender x axanthic snow in corn snakes and what do they call the T negative X axanthic in corn snakes?..or don'y they differentiate the names from the T positive snow and T negative snow??

Well from this group I have the 6 normals and one lavender which can be het for any combo of- axanthic, sulfur lavender and T-negative albino.

I might sell those as a group or do a give away here on KS forum if the mods will let me.

Nice project with awesome results if you ask me.
