My 21" motley is in love with her own reflection. I keep a king in the other room, but as far as I can tell they are completely oblivious to each other. I haven't seen her show any aggression towards the glass, she just tries to nuzzle the "other snake" and curl up with it. She's fairly well socialized (tolerates handling by strangers), but I think she wants inter-snake-ular contact. The king doesn't even acknowledge that he casts a reflection, by the way.
If I get a buddy for the corn, does sex matter? I'm not really interested in breeding corns, so if I get her a roommate I'd like another female, if that's feasible. Should I try to find one the same size as she is? I would assume a baby to be less threatening, but then again I don't want her to kill it. She's only about 3-4 months old, so a hatchling would catch up pretty quickly, regardless.
PS- I WOULD feed them separately, of course. I'm not a complete newbie.
To Review:
- Female corn- 4mo. 2ft. Good disposition. Seems lonely.
- What should I look for in a roommate for her?
