I feel VERY retarded.....

okay so anyhow, i have several hatchlings at the moment and a few more eggs on the way, actually several to come because my tuscon banded geckos are laying eggs and one of my cresteds just layed her first infertile clutch a few days ago. (no idea what im gunna do with all these babies). anyhow i have my baby fattails and leos in shoe box racks. i took one of my baby patternlesses out 2 evenings ago to look at him and set him down on the floor in his box. i went to the other room for a moment when my boyfriend started to talk to me about something which i then got sidetracked and forgot about my little boy. i left him by himself for like a half hour. he is a week shy of being 2 months old and he is pretty big as most of my geckos are big for their ages. needless to say he had crawled out when i realized i left him alone a half hour later. Now, normally i can find all my escapies with in a half hour of looking even though they have been out all night. a lot of times if they get away i dont notice until a day or 2 later at the next feeding, but like i said i normally find them right away. this boy had been gone for a half hour and i cant find him anywhere!! by about 6pm this evening it will be going on 48 hrs so. cali time. there really isnt anywhere for him to go thank goodness but obviously he found a spot where no one else has been found. im not to worried about him surviving because there is constantly loose crickets in my apartment, i set a water dish in every room, and it doesnt get too hot or cold because i have the air on a thermostat. anyhow if any one has any suggestions it would be appreciated. i feel so dumb because normally im the one telling people where to look, o well... luckily i dont have any other pets to harm him either.

I have heard that you can put some tin foil down under a small food dish with a worm in it, when the leo comes out to get the worm you should hear the tin foil rustle.

Are your racks grounded? Is it possible s/he climbed into another box? I know it's a long show, but I had a friend who had cresteds in racks, and one got out and into another box.

Granted, leopards don't have sticky feet, but who knows!
