Pastel Piebalds

TSKinc Jul 12, 2007 11:35 AM

Well sometimes you hit it and sometimes you do not. We have had are share of strikes this season but this was a Grand Slam.
Pastel Het Piebald X Piebald = 6 eggs and we got what looks like 4 pastel piebalds and two hets. We will have to wait for them to shed but it looks like all the pieds are pastels. Check out the pattern on them. Any ways a good day.

Hey!! is that an ultra-ultra low white in the upper right hand corner of the pic? LOL!!!

chonjoepython Jul 12, 2007 11:40 AM

KILLER! dan and collette. congrats. those look like no other pied ive seen. next up, super pastel pied?

TSKinc Jul 12, 2007 11:47 AM

Yeah we should have done the super this year but we had our orignial male pastel pied die a year ago so we are back starting over again. We got 2.2 this time so I think we should be able to do it now. Would be cool if we got one of these up to size for breeding by this coming season but not very likely.

Major Congratulations! They look incredible.

chonjoepython Jul 12, 2007 11:54 AM

that none of those babies have the lightly colored head that most pastels are born with. whats up with that?

TSKinc Jul 12, 2007 11:59 AM

That is the way they come out. But the patern is always messed up. Maybe it will be diferrent on the supers.

Way to go guys. You're really kicking some butt this year. I'll look forward to seeing you guys in Daytona next month, Brian (BHB)

They look so awesome.
Congrats on them they are great.

Horridus Jul 12, 2007 12:18 PM

The same animals that produced that very low white super busy patterned one from a couple of years ago? Or maybe last year? Curious to see if that look is something that's going to be able to be reproduced "on purpose" for lack of a better way to say it Thanks in advance

wetceal Jul 12, 2007 01:15 PM

Those guys all look great but I really like the one in the front left of the photo as well as the one with the crazy pattern that's low white!

Good odds too!

Thanks,
Celia

Congratulations!!! Those are amazing animals. Nice to see that nice guys don't always finish last. Hopefully we will have the same luck next season. We have a pastel het piebald male and several het piebald females.

As always we are anxious to see the next clutch to hatch.... and still drooling over the killer clown!!!
