blacklight ?

marito Aug 18, 2003 04:08 PM

hello forum!!

i was wondering are blacklights bad for leos? would it affect eating patterns? i turn it on at night, since i have white paper towels as substrate it really looks nice!! but i just wanna be safe, and make sure everything will still be the same with my leos behavior. also i have a male adult tang, and his color seems to be getting dark on the upper sides of the back,(kinda gloomy) is that normal? and if not what could have caused that? this happened prior to his shed, i thought after the shed it would return back to normal but it didnt!! so if any one out there can help me, please do so!!! thanx!!!!

yes, blacklights are harmful to reptiles. use blue or red bulbs for nighttime viewing.
