Heating in Summer time.

RBurns Jul 12, 2007 08:35 PM

Hey guys this is my first time posting. Ive had a couple of king snakes for a few months and got one bp, then one turned into 5 and now im addicted. Well i have a rack setup in my basement and have my hot spot at right around 87F but my ambient is only at 75. I cant move the rack upstairs due to conflict with the mother. I was wondering if anyone uses a space heater during the summer to just to keep the temps up in a cold area like the basement.

Thanks for any help

Ryan

You could rise your hot spot up a little 90-92 isn't bad and that might rise the ambient to were you want it.

I use a space heater to keep temps stable in a basement. I would defintely do what you need to to bump the temps up a few degrees. You will definitely have problems in the winter if your temps are 75 in the summer.
