my green tree frog is a gray!

I live in NH and we DON'T HAVE green ones up here(this is the one that hitch-hike home with me). While perusing New England Wildlife book I saw that they are not up here but I was confused b/c it is green. Anyway, a friend and I were discussing and decided it was a young, probably yearling, gray. In just the few days that I have had him I am seeing his color getting darker and the pattern on his back and legs beginning. Sort of cool - I'm going to try and document the change via photos.

Woooooooops, Guess that is a bit of a mistake,...lol. Grays and greens though can be kept in the same style enclosure, with same temps, etc.

For looking into more information, you can always type in Hyla versicolor(Their latin name) for more information.

Would love to see pics,
Here's what an adult green treefrog(hyla cinera) should look like.

It was the lack of white line that had me thinking, but I did think we had greens up here. This one is probably just entering its second year. Tadpole development is June-Sept. and he's young but not THAT young. It's been really cool to see him "growing up" right before my eyes. The friend I was having this discussion with is a wildlife biologist and was surprised that I was keeping anything from the wild) just not my thing) but I said that I'll probably let him go by months end so he can gear up for our winter. BUT, if I sex it that may lead to naming it and if that happens...well, I'll have to struggle with my "ethical self" LOL!

Here’s one photo, sort of an odd angle b/c I am looking down into enclosure and he is on curved glass, will try to get more.
