Delivery One of the Day

run26neys Jul 13, 2007 09:26 AM

UPS was first to deliver today, and delivered this male. Being color-blind I can not tell how red or not this guy is, but I do like him. Fingers crossed that Fed-Ex arrives soon. Will post those pics later today.

pretty, who did you buy him from? (by the way it would be a little easier to tell the color if the picture was a little lighter)

I got it from Robert Seib - from an ad her on KS. I bought it within a couple of hours of the ad being posted. He had two others from the litter, and said this was the redest and nicest.

I guess I need to go to the Dave Colling school of taking pics.....

cool lil guy a brighter pic would be better all you need is a nice lil flash and you should be fine unless your taking the pic from a phone then cant help you there lol. but dave isnt the only teacher TimOsborne is quite good at taking pics but when it comes to posting them you better ask dave, tim gets a lil confused some times and forgets how to post pics lol.

Get a really good camera, that's what I did.

Lesson two, take lots of pics varying lighting and angles etc.

Lesson three, download picasa2 from Google, I use it to make most of my adjustments like cropping and adding fill light for non flash pics etc.

Lesson four, (and most important lesson of all) Don't listen to me, I know not what I'm doing, just an idiot savant at best!!

I agree w/ lesson #2 for sure.. the best way to get good photos.. is to take lots and lots of photos. Review what you take and learn how "light" works in photography. I don't really agree with needing a good camera.. Lots and lots of great photos are taking w/ el cheapo cameras.. You just have to understand the principles of photography.

picasa is good.. irfan view is another similar product that I like. Nothing beats photoshop though..

If you are truely interested in learning a bit about photography, here is a great book that is written in such a way that anyone from a beginner to a pro can follow it and learn from it.

Yeah, el cheapo cameras can take great pics, my point was having a DSLR is amazing. I always saw peeps taking pics with el cheapo dig cameras and many have that oh so annoying time lag between pressing the button and actually taking the pic. With a nice camera that does NOT have that time lag, you will be taking more pics, taking more pics increases the odds of geting that keeper for sure!!!!!!

Hereis my first snake that I received today. This photo is better than the first one I posted. I was in a hurry earlier and posted a fairly dark photo.

Hey Mike Congrats, Since it's a female from Robert, I'd assume it's not a het. I think he only has male hets for sale at this time.

Dave - this is the 'red' male that I had asked you to look at. It is not a Het. I was thinking about getting a pair of hets, but I know there are several people that will have hets available soon.
