WEEK IN REVIEW!!!!!

Axanthic Projects - What people are doing with Axanthics this year?

Best investment – Another what would be the best investment (aka what will make me the most money) thread. OK Everyone repeat after me – buy what you like, breed what you think will be cool, enjoy what you are doing, and don’t be a fool!

Im throwing in the towel – Yep bad luck / bad odds happen.

Weight Question – Snake advertised at 3000 grams comes in at 2725. Do you:
A. Triple check it to make sure it is at least a female
B. Send it back immediately it’s not as advertised
C. Close enough no big deal I can get the weight difference on her in a couple of feedings
D. Call seller and ask for a 10% of your money back since the snake is missing 10% of it’s body weight

Collection-setting things up – How do you set up your collections in your racks? By project? By size? Alphabetically? Haphazardly? Favorites on Top? Boys to the right, girls to the left?

Hypothetical Pet Store -How much profit can be made with a pet store/online business?

Livin the dream or not – Can you really make a living out of selling ball pythons? Do you have to have a warehouse full of them to do it? Do you have to put 10 years into building a collection that will make you a decent wage? Or is it all just a pipe dream?

breeding hets - what happens if i breed a pair of 100% hets – AKA the “how many herper/genetic scientists does it take to figure out the odds on a het to het breeding” thread

DIRTY JOBS - Did anyone watch last nights episode in which Mike Rowe visited a reptile farm in Texas – Yep you betcha – general consensus seems to be that the show rocked (especially the opening with the Pied and Caramel) but there were concerns about the conditions the animals were kept in and the contrived “made for TV” drama – but hey – we all know how boring cage cleaning really is.

POSTEM IF YA GOTEM - FAVORITE NORMALS – a tribute to the beauty and diversity of the normal ball python!

Quote of the week:

Dear Nematode,
We are the people that print your name, phone number and address on pens and give them out to people at Neo-Nazi conventions. We are offering a special this month our extra large bumper stickers printed in bold fonts with NASTY sayings; as always, your name, phone number and address will be printed on the sticker too w/o a cost to you!!!

Imagine:

"I like to throw garbage out of my car because the police are just too stupid to catch me!"

"I like to drive really fast through your neighborhood as I hunt down people's pets!"

and a crowd favorite:

"Terrorist are people too, they need love and kisses just like you and me!" - National Liberal Coalition

-Your name, seven home digits and address right here beneath our catchy attention getters!

I just love your "Week in Review" posts. They're a great way to catch up on things if you missed them. About how long does it take you to do that. You must be a really devoted herper. I don't know if I would have the stamina to sit there and do all that, but thanks for doing that.

qiksilver5 Jul 13, 2007 04:10 PM

Thanks for all the time you put in for the week review, it really is a great thing.

It's amazing how much time and effort that Tosha puts into this every week. I know I appreciate all her hard work. Even if she makes fun of my future website that I promise will be done in the next five to ten years. Great Job, Brian (BHB)

Holy Crap Tosha, My jaw hit the floor. Not because it was a particularly good lookin' snake, but because I made on the WIR at all . WIR was great as usual Tosha. Don't know how you make the time for all that.
