Problem with clear nail trait

Killerherps Jul 13, 2007 03:31 PM

I have recently come across some information about problems with offspring/egg mortality when breeding together 2 bearded dragons with the clear-nail trait. This is a recessive trait that is usually associated with the hypomelanistic trait. Does anybody else have any experience with this, or have any other information to offer? It has been suggested to me that when breeding the clear-nails together that the hatch rate can be minimal. Is this indeed the case? If so, does the same occur with heterozygous individuals?

Thanks in advance!
