Hole in breeder tubs

claudeballs Jul 14, 2007 12:03 PM

Hello all, I have the black tubs from Lowes and my rats have chewed holes in them. Any better suggestions for tubs and where to get them? Thanks Claude

i got my tubs from home depot. the two reasons i chose them(hd is 3 times as far) cheaper by afew $ and more important less ridges to get chewing started. i only had 1 1.3 group start chewing and before it went on they went back into 20 g aqur.hope that helps. its a pain going back to aqaur. after tub system

Feed off/put down the chewers, others will learn to chew from them. You could try putting in some blocks of wood for them to chew on, hopefully keeping them entertained & away from chewing on the tubs.

Have a good one!
