79camarogirl Jul 14, 2007 12:54 PM

i just put two of my boas together for breeding about a week ago and my male still doesnt pay any attention to the female. ive seen them curled up together once but not again and there was no tail locking. what do you suggest i do? should i separate them and try cooling them again?

Cooling isn't really necessary, according to what I've read from many breeders.

Typically males are introduced to females in the fall. You might try changing your lighting to have the days get shorter to simulate fall.

You might have to separate/put them back together quite a few times, and some people do still cool boas, but the top breeders do not do that any longer.
