My cornsnake has gotten out of it's cage {about a week ago} and I haven't been able to find him. I don't even know if he is alive as I have a cat and two dogs inside. however, I haven't found a body or any blood stains. Someone give me advice as to how to find my snake or coax him out of hiding.. PLEASE.

There are lots of different things you can try BUT first I would look around your place. What type of place do you live in? (house, apartment, etc???) Check out the hotspots in your place (under&behind your fridge, any hot water tanks, or other areas that seem to be hotter & darker than the rest of your place). You could try to leave a dead mouse out somewhere and wait to see if its gone the next day...that might mean its fine and you just need to find it. Someone once suggested leaving some type of powder (baking powder?) out around the mouse so that you can see which direction the corn takes off in after it eats the mouse.

I had two hatchling normals escape from my second story bedroom in my parents house. Found both of them in the basement of the house. Yes, thats right, they traveled down two stories and I still don't know how (though suspect it was via air ducting). I found one by accident. The second I got lucky cause I was looking around on a whim (by a dark dry spot by my mom's dryer (HINT: DRY AND WARM AND DARK) and saw the tip of a wiggling tail...

hatchlings, I still can't believe I found both.

Good luck because that's truly what it comes down to.
