I didnt see a athing herp related, but saw some cool inverts and mammals. I was at a well known eastern local, Ill be at a different local tonight, it how ever is not so well known.
One mammal I did see was driving a older model, single cab, half ton ford. He said his name was Bob and he was from Del Rio. He also said that in the previous 7 nights he had personally collected 5 alterna at the local we were currently at. Although he seemed to be a "pro" he had only seen a coral snake last night. I dont know if it was him or not, but earlier in the day, someone in an older model, single cab, half ton ford, had spotlighted cuts that my brother and I were activelly walking. I doubt it was the samw guy, as who would do that and then latter stop to BS with some one at the very same cut, hmmmm... I dont know. Ol Mr. Bob also claimed to be the personal taxidermist for the TPWD LE in Val Verde county, and via personal knowledge (BS perhaps) he said that LE in Val Verde knew nothing of HB 12 and would not be enforcing until Sept 1.
I also ran into some nice guys in a Toyota or similar type truck, said they were from Dallas, Nice guys, they had seen a lep last night and that was it for them. And a kid and his girlfriend from New Mexico, they hadnt seen anything, but were nice as well.
Tonights the last night for me. See you out there.
