I was planning on breeding my 1 yr female corn season,
and i was going to get a 2006 male at a show next week.
But i really wanted to get a hatchling so i could get to know the snake as it grew. And if i get a hatchling that means waiting another 2 years to breed. And by then my female would be 4. So i guess my question is, is 4 years old an okay time to breed my female?

Also.
When the babies hatch ill be keeping them separate in plastic shoe boxes, and by then my snake room should be built. So for heating is it okay to keep the room at a constant temp of 80-85 degress?

For heating you can just run heat tape or heat cable under the tubs (or along the back of the tubs). Far cheaper than heating the entire room.

is a perfect age to breed a female corn snake. They retain their fertility for many years. Better to breed a bit later than earlier, to minimize the chance of eggbinding.
