I just recently bought a western hognose snake at a reptile show and want to make sure that it eats properly. I was told by the breeder that they are feeding on pinkies. What is the best way to get them to eat? I have two toads so am able to scent the pinkies with them if I need to, but would prefer to not have to do that if not absolutely necessary. Are there any other good ways to stimulate feeding? I am new to hognose snakes so any help would be good help. Thanks.

Try just dropping it in and leaving it alone first. That will usually do the trick.
