jackson feeding issues...

iso Aug 18, 2003 06:52 PM

anybody had this happen to them?

I had my guy happy with crix. he ate them like mad. then I gave him a few silk worms the other day. Now he turns his nose up at the crickets. he looks in his feeding dish...stares at them..then walks over to a "flat" area I put the worms on...and sits there...almost get the feeling hes begging...

anyhow - how should I get him back on the crix? with hold food for a day and then offer a cricket or two?

Adam-

Yes that happens all the time. They simply get bored of one food and you introduce a new food and they always want more of the new food. Silkworms are a better food source then crickets so not much to worry about, like if he was on a waxworm only diet. I would say just give him time, verity is key. I have one pardalis that doesn't like crickets to much, but will eat tons of silkworms. Hope this helps!
