Female spurring

dr_efini Jul 15, 2007 10:35 PM

Do female pythons exhibit spurring activity as do males from the same species in courtship? Thanks

I have never seen them utilized to the extent that males use them during courtship. I have seen some slight paper scratching in female Burmese pythons. But something popped into my head, I have seen female dogs hump stuff, so even though they have little in common. Such behavior would not surprise me, there are she/males in the reptile clad.

Interesting question, I would be interested in any data you come across.
