Babies making popping noises

caine53 Jul 15, 2007 11:05 PM

Hi, I have tow CH babies that are making popping noises. It's very faint and can't always be heard unless you hold them up to your ear. It appears to be connected with the flicking of their tongues but I am not sure. They are kept at a high temp of 85-90 in a 10 gallon tank. I don't know what the humidity is but we did replace their water dish with a smaller one. My fear is RI. I tried posting on the health forum with no response. Does anyone have any thoughts or advice? All is appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestions. Neither appear to have any liquid in their mouths. As for excess skin, one has had a bad shed recently but is about to shed again. Oddly enough, after feeding her today I noticed that she was not popping. The other little girl has actually not eaten for us (willingly that is). She has not shed either but her popping comes and goes.
