Pastel Phantom! =)

kazproductionz Jul 15, 2007 11:50 PM

Kaz Quality Reptiles is excited and proud to present our pastel phantom! Today we had our clutch finally hatch that we have been anxiously waiting for. This animal we thought was going to be completely black and white, because it was when we had first cut the egg, but in the last two days it colored up to be, well....mostly a pastel phantom hahaha. It has that amazing what seems to be a ringer but not entirely sure that is is exactly what's going on with the animal. It's sibling phantom has the same pattern and looks exactly like the phantom mom I have...Clear belly and wacky pattern. This project has a tone of potential and I am very excited to see is what to be had in the future! Here are the pics...they are good, but you all know how hard it is to photograph snakes...so of corse they do no justice.

Thanks for looking!

How do you know that it is a Phantom?

It is a tricky mutation and I would have to think that Ralph is the source for this mutation...It is a hard one to ID!

Just wondering....the Super Phantom is AWESOME and there may be some big things ahead for this mutation!!!!

Good JOB!

Kevin

Very nice Pastel Phantom. Congrat's, Skip

If i may inquire (without sounding stupid) what is it that makes it a 'phantom'? Like what's the pattern difference or color difference if someone could point it out to me. I'm a bit new to all these various morphs of balls.

Thanks!

You can see the "history" of the phantom at Ralph Davis's page
There's also several photos of clutches. They are a "subtle" morph....that is until bred together.

Very nice, mind sharing a pic of the adult Phantom

Nice looking critter. Is that from a proven line of phantom? (one that has produced a super phantom). Also I can't remember, has Ralph or anyone else produced a pastel phantom? Is this a first?

Congratulations,
Dan

totally understood brother, I made a mistake and I admitted to it...believe me I have been thinking 24 7 about a better name for the time being...you have to admit they are deffinately interesting animals.

EmberBall Jul 16, 2007 06:19 PM

Spectre Ball, kind of has the Phantom and Mystic ring to it! Then if it proves out, do what you want to do at that time.
