Hi to all,

which is the best substrate to use in order not to get the animals impacted but in hygenic conditions?

newspaper, butcher paper, some here uses rolls of corregated carboard. I use turf. I had health issues with my rhino reinfecting himself and I found I can keep it clean the best for my setup. I used outdoor carpeting and couldn't keep it clean.
If you are having impaction concerns check that you temps are high enough. These guys can pass anything and they live on dirt and sand in the islands.

thanks a lot for your reply.
Just a question watching your nice pic: what's under the lamp?

2 cinder blocks, a square one and a larger one on its side. they retain heat longer than the floor and since my rhino has a habit of occasionally sh&%ing under his light, this way if he does it will fall in between the blocks or off the side and he doesnt spread it all over.
