Do snakes yawn?

Doug89 Jul 16, 2007 03:49 AM

I was just wondering, i mean i've seen my Leucistic Texas Rat Snake do something like that but that's usually just her fixing her jaw after eating, but tonight i saw my Ball open his mouth real wide and then close it and go about his business.

Do they yawn?

ALl this talk of yawning is making me yawn, goodnight!

Yup, they do. Don't know the real reason for it. It occurs at different times, but they do yawn.
