Sweet Spider!!!!

Kevin_Arbogast Jul 16, 2007 08:30 AM

My second clutch hatched a couple days ago and although the odds were not the greatest, 4.0 Normals, 0.1 Pastel, 0.1 Spider, I am really happy with the female spider I got. She is very reduced pattern and totally spotless on her sides. Here are a few pre-shed pics of her and her clutch mates.

Beautiful spider, congrats! What were the parents? Pastel x Spider, or Bumblebee x Normal? Was wondering if one of the parents has a reduced pattern as well. Here is a pic of our new female spider, her mother was a reduced pattern normal. We had 4 eggs, one spider - three normals. She seems to be "low white" with lots of X's on her back.

Thanks for the complement! The mother has clean spotless sides and I felt that she would produce some nice clean spiders. In addition to the female spider I also had two runt spiders in the clutch that had more reduced and abberant patterns than the one I posted but sadly they did not make it.

I bred a pastel and a spider to the female and that is how I ended up with a pastel and spiders in the clutch.
