Best place to stay @ Daytona

Thinking about flying down for the weekend, I know most of the close places are sold out, any suggestions?

Thanks,

Chris Nicholas

hey chris,

last year i stayed at the daytona beach inn. it's a couple minutes drive from the convention. i stayed in one of the beach front studios which was pretty nice and the ac works real well. they also have a cafe/bar downstairs with a pool table. the beach was also right downstairs.

it's $85 a night. the website doesn't always reflect availability so it's best to just give them a call.

hope this helps.

I actually thought the Daytona Inn was CRAP!!!!!!! I actually only stayed one night, and moved to the Mariott Courtyard the next two nights. It is near the airport and a much nicer hotel, great TemperPedic bed and Flat Screen TV all for $10 more a night. A little farther away, but I had a vehicle so it wasn't a big deal!!!! The room we had at the Daytona Inn smelled like a beach bums sweaty A$$$$$!!!! If you know what I mean.

lol. well it might have been different in the different studios. to my understanding each studio is owned by different individuals so the furniture is different. they just allow it to be rented out. atleast that's what they told me.

i just liked it because my girlfriend and i looked at it more like a vacation, so it was nice being right on the water. maybe i'm just a low maintenance kind of guy.

i'll check out that hotel you mentioned next time.
thanks.

Just my experience Eddie! I'm glad you had a good experience there. I too am fairly low maintence, but I am not sleepling in a room that smells like a beach bums A$$$$ my wife wouldn't have it! Anyway I hope to see everybody at the show and stop by my table 736&737 I won't have all the cutting edge stuff like a-lot a folks, but I will have some animals that are great representions of their mutation or mutations! Look forward to seeing you all!!!!

You may still find rooms in the Hilton, otherwise there are several smaller motel/apartment type rentals on the strip well within a mile of the convention center. Most of these places rent rooms and small apartments with kitchenettes from as little as $39 to around $89 on the higher end.

I wouldn't know their names, but if you look up motels on Daytona Beach, i'd say most would fit under this category.

I would even think you could find a room at one of these places without reserving ahead of time... but better safe than sorry.. lol

See you there!

Joe

I work in Flagler Beach, its a small city about 20-25 minutes north of the Expo Center in Daytona. It may be a little bit out of the way for you but there is this really nice place called the Topaz. If the ride is not too far for you shoot me and email and I'll give you the info.
