Any suggestions for improvement?
I have a pump that I took out of a little fountain, so I want to use that to make a waterfall for him. I just need to figure out a design that works for it.

Looking pretty good. Glad to hear the fiberglass aired out fairly quickly (I left mine outside for about a week before I was satisfied with it....then brought it in and noticed a smell and left it vacant for 2 more days before the smell was gone, but I didn't use enough hardener on it).
As for the waterfall...I tried for a while to do that, but no real luck. I had trouble figuring out what to use that was waterproof and cheap. I never thought of fiberglass while I was doing it, but I think I may try it again with the fiberglass this time. Let me know how it turns out
Also, just out of curiousity, where is your light source? I can see the glow from a light but can't see where it is coming from!

The light is hanging from the top. If you look at the picture you can see the cord going across the plastic top.

I have never had a problem with getting a waterfall to work. I have used several different set-ups using a powerhead from an aquarium. I have a penguin and it works great. I use the tubing to run the fountain and place the pump in the water and conceal it with stones or whatever I can come up with that will look nice.
When I had my frogs I had a tank that was half land and half water. The land was held in place with moss and rocks. I found some flat rocks that were slightly convex and created a slide with them. I pumped the water up to a pile of rocks at the top of the slide and it trickled down to the water end. Of course some of it seeped off to the soil but that kept my plants watered making the water and filter changes the only required maintenance.
With the dragons I had a pile of rocks with the tube up the center. I hot glued them in place and then placed one slightly above the end of the tube and made sure there were gaps between it and the rest of the rocks at the top of the. When the water spouted out the top the top rock deflected the spray causing it to run down the sides of the rock pile instead of shooting out all over the tank. It worked well until the cool water caused the hot glue to let go. If I tried this again I would use aquarium silicon instead of the hot glue.
Whatever you do build your waterfall out of make sure it will be easy to clean. The stupid foam ones they sell ready-made are a bear to clean so mine is sitting somewhere in the back of a cupboard or something. I will never use it again.
Let us know what you come up with Skippy. And it's neat to see a crucigera with his back set of horns!
