res not basking

hi i have a res i used to have her in a 20gal but recently moved her to a rubbermade habitat in the rubbermaid iv noticed she does not bask and she never basked in the 20 gal i recently took her to a vet and they said she was fine except 4 a couple of red dots on her back that were easily taken care of wut do u think could be wrong?

how old/large is the turtle?

are you using a water heater?
how warm is the room?
does it eat well?

iv had it 4 about a year now im not sure how old it is its about 6 inches long i dont have a waterheater the room is very hot its in its my bed room i dont use my a/c so its about 80 and she eats abot 20 pellets in a meal and i give her about 3-4 meals aday along with 1 goldfish a day

You`re overfeeding your turtle. Over a year old, a turtle needs to be fed every other day. A guide for portion size is the amount that could fit in the head. If your turtle is still hungry give some vegetables to munch on.

Could your turtle be basking when you`re not around? If your room is hot, the water must be warm. What`s the basking area temp.? If there`s no real contrast between the water and basking area, a turtle has little incentive to get out and bask.
