humidity help!!!

yeahyeah Jul 16, 2007 05:38 PM

When I first got my ball the humidity was at 60%. It has been steadily decreasing since then. It's currenty at 34%. I covered half of the tank with plastic wrap and have numerous water sources throughout the enclosure. They are evenly distributed on the hot and cooler sides of the tank. What else can I do?

What kind of bedding are you using? I would maybe add some cypress it really holds moisture. When I was using tanks i would cover 90% what i found worked great was I had a old dresser and I used the bottoms of the draws, laid it right on the lip and the lid fit no prob. What size tank? And is the snake in a room that has Ac or just what ever room temp is?

The bedding is that reptile carpet stuff. It is in a room with AC, I keep the AC at about 74. Can't really do anything about the AC, my whole apartment is air conditioned and I'm not about to suffer in the heat. It is a ten gallon tank, big enough for now. By the way, I have since gotten the humidity level up to 60% but would like to be able to get it higher when she is about to shed.
