Phenix worms for hatchlings

Often, they won't eat them. They're expensive, hard to keep from pupating, not a substantial meal, and the tiny ones can climb sheer surfaces when wet. Other than that, they're an acceptable addition to a well rounded diet. I use them. I refuse to purchase them at the ridiculous prices, though. I raise my own. I'd never buy them...they aren't that great.

I've never used them but I've had hatchlings and they'll readily eat small, red earthworms that I dug from the garden. After a year they will tackle big nightcrawlers. I feed them isopods, waxworms, mealworms, freshly molted superworms and small crickets.

I remember them as being kind of tough for hatchlings,
and ditto everything Kensopher said.

There are better choices...earthworms, molted mealworms are usually what I start with.
