Friend need help

black_wolf Jul 16, 2007 06:19 PM

a friend of mine bought a baby corn from Repticon a few weeks ago and she's lost it twice already. It's a female (something) corn and she's gonna wanna breed 'em when the female's big enough (told her to weight till she's atleast 300grams).
The problem though it that I think the corn's actually scaling it's cage and getting out. She's using one of those rubber made (or is it sterlite...) and I don't know if the cage is closing all the way. What other containers could she use? The snakes pretty much a hatchling.

use a shoe box or a 10 gallon tank with a screen lid at that size. The sliding screens are best. If you use sterlite and the snake keeps getting out, check the size of the air holes and buy snapping locks for the tub. Or set something heavy on it.
Good luck

I had a similar problem with sterilite and a couple neonate cal kings.
Putting a college textbook on top solved the problem.

I lost a black rat hatchling and a corn hatchling to sterilite shoe boxes and have learned to get the small bungees cords and stretch them around the box top to hold it down tight.
