Variety is the spice of life! And good for box turtles 
Is there a protien item in the meal, or do you feed them protein on other days?
Box turtles cannot be "vegetarians", but must be allowed to eat insects and protein items like lean cooked chicken, beef or Nasco's Turtle Brittle or high quality, low fat dry dog food. I'm sad to say Walkabout Farms' Complete Box Turtle diet is not available at this time. My turtles really liked it!

They do get protein items as well. Ive started adding in an omelet occasionally as well and they are warming up to it.
