I've got them in a 55 that's about half water. It is lit by 2 power compacts and a 4' strip light. The guys predictably spend most of the time in the water but are basking occasionally. Extra cool little guys. Well worth the $

Cool,i didnt give mine that much room for the first year.Just this thing called a turtle tank,20x20x8.Now theyre in a 300 gallon rubbermaid with about 2 foot of water.By next year i hope to let them join the 25 or odd so adults i have in one of my ponds.Im still waiting for viable eggs out of those. These 2 are already 4-1/2 inches.
