My male is from a proven line. Brian Potter has the original male from Africa and I purchased one of his babies last year. The male I purchased is the father to these babies. Except of course the yellow belly which was from my yellow belly male. Same clutch.....

I think what Mr.Yohe is saying/asking is: Has Brian produced a super cinny from the line yet?

I don't know if he put it to a cinny female this year or not... guess i will find out next time I chat with him.... I have a Graziani line female that i will be putting my male to this year so if he hasn't then HOPEFULLY I will prove the line out this year...

Coldthumb Jul 17, 2007 04:45 PM

Don't get me wrong, they look fantastic!...It's just that everything in this hobby has to be proven out completely.(Some people still don't know if they are going to make ivorys from their yellowbellys, etc etc)

Best of luck to you.

Believe me I know that... But thank you. I looking forward to proving this line out. It has been a pretty good year so far. I had a friend watching my animals while I was over seas and he had my ghost and het female that I had not proved out yet. She laid 7 eggs.... 3.3 ghosts!!! Then one of my females he bread to a pin and got 3 for 3 on that one.... I have a feeling my luck is running out.... I will probably get all normals in the rest of my clutches.... but it isn't keeping from smiling right now.....

jyohe Jul 17, 2007 05:08 PM

that one is sweet........yea......you need to make supers..
and you better send me some luck......I need it this year....
all I got today so far is a pied and 4 amels.....I need more.....LOL,,,,,,,,,,really.......

........alot of people in here say the word "proven" and (not you or yours, yours was gotten before by another person also).....anyways...they say proven and all they got is kids that look like their baby daddy........daddy may be frontin bigtime........

........anyways......good luck..........like you really need it....

.........armed services???......welcome home........

Yes.... US Air Force. I was in Iraq for about 9 months.... Got home and spent all my money on this hobby....haha And let me say I was proud to be over there. As for the cinnys. I just wanted to give Brian his due. This is his line and the father threw some awesome sibs to mine last year so hopefully they will throw some great lookin supers...

JSpythons Jul 17, 2007 05:46 PM

Those are some great looking snakes and I have a feeling you'll end up with a super. Speaking about the Air Force, I have been contemplating going in. I am 16 years old but why not plan ahead. I have always thought about becoming a pilot, as planes, besides snakes, are one of my favorite things. I'd like to hear what you think about me going in, any ideas?
Josh

JABAILEY20 Jul 17, 2007 05:52 PM

I have been in for 11 years now. I love it. I am not a pilot. i used to work on the jets and then transfered to a civil engineering squadron. I am in the Air National Guard now and was activated last year to go over. If I were you I would go to a Natianl Guard recrueter. as well as the active Air Force recrueter. That way you can see what is going to benefit you the most. I wouldn't trade my military experiences for anything.

JSpythons Jul 17, 2007 08:37 PM

That's a good idea to go to both of them. The only problem is, what in the world would I do with my snakes? I have also wanted to be a herp vet but that takes a lot of college and money...decisions, decisions.

milkman2 Jul 17, 2007 11:56 PM

I got out of my reptiles while I was in the Air Force, so for 8 years I was herp-less...First seargents have a problem with reptiles in the dorms. Also I was deployed allot and really did not want to put the maintenance of my animals on anyone else...Unless you have someone at home to adopt your animals, it is better not to have them....deployments are now running 15 months and that is a long time to have someone come over to water the animals. When you are home, it is only long enough to get a little rest and retrain.
