A little help please

I just got into the BP world and find it fascinating. I can't wait to start my projects. I was able to come across 5 ball pythons and 2 of them dropped eggs. I didn't breed them. When I picked one of the snakes from my friends house she came with the eggs. And the second female dropped the eggs shortly after. Well out of the 8 eggs total that were laid, zero made it. The first female I brought the eggs to my house and the second female laid the eggs at my house but the eggs didn't make it either. They were both maternally incubated so I jut wonder is there something in my house that could've affected the eggs and made them infertile. Next season I plan to get a Hovabator or a small incubator but want to make sure that the females will be ok to breed again next season and if so can they still lay fertile eggs. Thanks any help would be appreciated.

First off I am sorry to hear about that..... You never like to see that happen for anyone.... Second off for next year.... buy a good incubator. you can control the conditions a lot better than if you let the mother incubate them. I have a Natures Spirit incubator. Casey does a great job with these and has been making them for a few years now. Everyone that I know that has one loves them, and his prices don't rip you off. Other than that get your females feeding again and as long as they are healthy there shouldn't be any problems for them to have healthy clutches next season....

It always sucks to have something like that happen and I want to say that I am truly sorry for you. I would definately get an incubator for the next breeding season if I were you. Like he said, your females shouln't have any problems laying if they are of the correct breeding size which is around 1500 grams.
By the way, welcome to the world of ball pythons. It is very addicting and you won't get enough of it for a very long time to come.

What were the timps at the eggs and the humidity in the cages, as fore the fest clutch it is never a good idea to move a clutch of eggs after the first couple of hours . By moving I am not referring to putting them into the incubator from the cage , I mean transporting them . There are several point at witch the eggs are more venerable and will suffer fatal damage . And as the others have said I am sorry for your loss and with a little more info we can help you to determine most likely what happened to them . Just be careful as this can be a very addicting hobby and the withdrawal symptoms can be overwhelming .LOL. Thanks David of DS Reptile Rescue
