Incubation question

phiber_optikx Jul 17, 2007 10:19 PM

I have about 3 more weeks of incubation left and 2 of my eggs are dented in a bit. I went ahead and re-dampened the moss (which was a bit dry) But is it normal for them to dent in so soon or are they probably just a little dry? I guess I will find out tomorrow but just thought I'd ask.

I use deli cups with no holes in the sides, and a few very tiny pin holes in the lids, so I usually have condensation on the sides and lid inside the deli cups. I rarely get dented eggs, but a few did dent in kind of early, so I just used a pump spray bottle, made sure it was set to "mist", and held it back a bit and pumped the trigger once to lightly mist the eggs themselves. the dents were gone that night. I don't use moss. I did at first but it got soaking wet because the deli cups hold the moisture so well.
