I really don't have many pics of large kings...
I skipped looking for them again this year...Maybe around December I'll give it a shot...
Anyway, here's one from around 2 yrs ago near The Lake.

Thanks Mark, many of my Kings have a similar build. Time and time again people will remark on "pin headed" snakes from eating too much while young. I recall another poster saying he found many in the wild with small heads too. I know some getula will indeed have large heads, but I don't think small heads are a definitive sign of overfeeding either. Tom Stevens

I don't see any with smallish heads in the wild. Maybe at the juvenile/subadult stage, but the larger, older males like this one usually have rather large heads when compared to just about any cb. I think age has something to do with it?

The ones I see from the foothills of NC seem to have short, wide heads...a little different from the Floridiana I have kept in the past, but at a glance the head is noticeably small.
Seems that the adult males have longer, larger heads than the females.
