A funny little thing.....

I have JEALOUS snakes!!! My RT and my Green sit on opposite sides of my room, but can see me when I hold the other one. If I pick up the RT, there is no problems, but then when I pick up the Green alittle bit later, he is all mad, and same with the Green first, the RT gets all moody. They never get mad at me, no strikes, hisses, or otherwise, UNLESS, I try to pick them up second, it has happened repeatedly since I added the Green to my collection. No, my hands do not smell like mice or snakes, or anything! I just think its funny, since there is NO explanation other than jealousy

I've noticed that my boas do notice and usually actively watch
me when I'm holding other boas. I don't know if they smell them
or what. I've got Guyanans, dumerils, hogs and a yellow anaconda.

They are all completely tame though, all the time. I think that
it's more likely that your boas smell or somehow sense the other
boa. Let's say that they really can get jealous, with our tongues
planted firmly in cheek, isn't it more likely that they are
jealous of the other boa?

` I have learned that there is much more to serpent behavior, and its potential, than most folks will allow for, even snake-keepers! It is not unusual for mine to compete for a perch. Good thing they're not Greens.
