When my 2 whites dumpy frogs hooked together in the sink a few weeks ago, they stayed together for 12 hours straight (even after i picked them up and put them in their cage in their water bowl. I never saw any eggs, is that normal for their first time to mate... or attempt? She was acting sick at the time and had the blotches like i talked about in my last post. She still will just sit in one spot after i mist her, and acts kind of strange. Any tips on getting them to mate again, or should i just wait it out?

Just wondering what kind of water you provide them. Distilled water can often times dehydrate them. Although it is complete pure and lacks any vitamins and minerals, it can also dehydrate the body, no matter how long they sit in the water. I use spring water that I purchase at Wal-Mart for $.58 a gallon. Otherwise, I honestly don't know what else could be causing the dehydration. Lack of humidity maybe...temperature? I've never experienced any dehydration in my whites. The only thing I can think of is the type of water that's being used. Otherwise, I'm sure someone else will be able to give you more information. As far as future signs, watch for any appetite changes and dramatic color changes. One of the frogs that I have keeps its legs a blue green, but the top of its body is usually dark brown w/ a blue-green tint. I also purchased another frog whose skin is fairly blotchy, but when I brought it to the vet for some other problems it was having, he didn't say anything about it. Also look for any lime green spots. I've also had the same frog that's two-toned be completely brown with some of his blue-green spots coming through, but bright, neon, lime green spots are more of a sign of illness. But again, I'm sure that someone else will have some better and more detailed information.
