Denali in the Minight Sun

klank4d Jul 18, 2007 11:14 PM

Denali, meaning "Great One" or "High One," is not just the name of the highest peak in North America, which, incidentally, is just 120 miles south of us, it is the name of our female green we got from Kelly and Jud in June '06.

These pics were taken shortly we got her:

And as my wife got a little too cuddly...

Denali gave her a little love nip.

These pics were taken a couple weeks ago a little after midnight as the sun was setting in the north.

To Jud and Kelly:

Denali is a great animal and has been a joy to keep. I would love to get a male for her when a new litter is birthed.

Take care,
Kevin

Kevin,
Thanks for posting the photos of your female green, it is always nice for us to see some of the young our greens have produced and know how they are getting along. The vast majority of our young have never attempted to strike, but there have been a very small percentage that have gotten a little nervous with the shipping and new environment. These have grown out of this quickly and become very calm again in a short time.

She looks like she is doing really well and has gotten accustomed to frequent handling. Your setup looks really great and we always like seeing our young go to boid enthusiasts such as you and your wife who really enjoy and care for the snakes in their collections. Great name for her by the way.

Thanks again,

Kelly

Kevin,
Good to hear from you and nice to see she is doing well. As Kelly said it is very nice to see how the young Greens we send out mature. She looks great. Please keep posting updates as she grows. Thanks. Jud
