Am I the only one who spends thousands of dollars on my animals and then waits until Walmart puts their shirts on the closeout rack for $3 each before buying new clothes for myself. I was just thinking about this as I passed up the $5 shirts for the $3 ones. All this after just buying a new turtle tank and another tortoise.
When I go to the doctor and have to pay the $20 copay, I complain the whole time while reaching for my wallet, but I do not blink an eye or complain about those vet bills which are considerably higher. Am I the only one.

Ha! I just guilt my mom into buying my clothes. Then I sew them up when they get holes in them. I wear my shoes until the soles fall off. I live on pasta. And I just moved my Chiapas giant musk into a 300$ setup.

The fine line between a hobby and a dangerous obsession...

i spent about 6000 dollars in 2003 so far. and i get big discounts by having a friend who owns a pet store.
there is a well-known couple with more than 100 torts who claims they spend near 12,000 annually.
better than cds or beer i guess....

It's more than just the big bucks!
How about denying yourself a bag of chips (99 cents) because you wouldn't have enough cash left to pick up a dozen earthworms on the way home.
