Adrian's Boas - Part 1

RyanHomsey Jul 20, 2007 02:44 PM

I went over to Adrian's last Sunday I think it was. We took a ton of photos of a few of his boas. He has some of the nicest locality boas I've ever seen. You all know him here as "316".

First up is one of his peruvians:

Made our way over to the Banana tree. Adrian's backyard is a mini rainforest. Beware of the aggressive lizards guarding their respective branches.

The same peruvian in yet another tree

Here is a different peruvian... this one is killer. This is his dark phase. Ive seen him at night in his light phase and he is ghostly white.

These are the same boa, but a little different angle. The lighting came out better at this angle... I'm still learning the "hotspots" of Adrian's yard.

More in the next post...

How bout suriname boas? Like those? Adrian has some of the best I've seen. I really like this first one.

Up in the tree - the previous shots are more accurate representation of his color. The sunlight does weird things in that tree... I also forgot to get a new white balance reading there.

And here is his longicuada boa. A very sweet looking locality.

Tree boas soon up next...

Last but not least are his amazon basin tree boas. It's amazing how tame these guys are. Some of the most docile boas I've ever worked with.

First is the male

And the female

Hope you had as much fun viewing them as I had taking them!

particular, so its always a wonderful and new experience when I go to Adrian's. He has quite a variety. I'm sure I'll make it over there again in the near future to take more photos of the rest of his boas.

to come take photos of your amazing animals one day. I've only been to the NY area once to go to Frank Martin's place. If I ever make it up there again and have time, I'll let you know!
