we lost our baby

beardiedragon Aug 18, 2003 11:20 PM

Thanks to all those who offered advise and help with our fight against the yellow fungus. Alas, our baby didn't win the battle. It appeared as if she had it licked, her color was back, almost no yellow, she was active and eating ok when we left for Daytona. When we came back we found she had passed away.

I had been giving her anti-fungal baths and using the anti fungus cream for 2 weeks other than that everything has been the same. she had been discolored for nearly half a year prior to the treatment (with no apparent ill effects).

Special thanks to Cheri for all your help, when we talked at the show I thought she was going to make it, but...

If anyone has any thoughts as to reactions to anti-fungal treatments or other possible explanations please drop me a line.

Thanks.

I thought she would make it, the only thing I can think is that she may have had it internally also, but usually you see it fade and reappear.

Again, I am sorry for the loss, We lost two to it almost 2 years ago and I know that pain.

I am so sorry you lost her
You did what you could for her and I am sure she knew you were trying to help her.
