No more than two adults...and I think two adults may be crowded, especially if they are both over 20".

minimum size for a single adult is a floor space of 4'x2' but having that extra foot of width does give an extra 4 square feet...which does make a difference, hence two adult dragons may be ok in it.

I think 4 x 3 is more than enough space for 2. The Dachiu's and others put 3 in this size and they don't seem crowded. It really comes down to the basking area. I have 5 x 3 1/2 and 4 x 3 1/2's but the basking site is the same size in both enclosures. There won't generally be a lot of squabbles if there is suitable basking areas for all the dragons at one time. My basking area is 12" x 40" which I designed with 4 dragons in mind. But, Rob Dachiu convinced me to stay with the 3 dragon idea regardless of enclosure size. Only one dragon per enclosure can be male though.
