Last year's product....after a year...

Kerby... Jul 20, 2007 11:14 PM

A product of breeding a Ghost (Palomar) x Hypo (Great Valley Serpentarium Lavender).

I have 11 eggs this year from the same pairing.

Here is an updated pic.

Totally different than Lavenders, Hypos, Blue-Eyed Blondes, etc...

It seems like every time you produce double or triple hets they are not exactly normal het looking. I wonder why...

That one is pretty nice looking.

I know what you are talking about...but not all are "different"...some double hets look like normals...and then there are those that are definitely not normal.

I have no answers.

I think sometimes it is probably because many Cal Kings in the trade are unknown het for one thing or another. Nobody has really delved into combining many of these traits and I think it's neat you are Kerby.

And I know that I have wholesaled a lot of double hets in the past. So there will be surprises in the future for somebody who buys a couple of "normal looking" cal kings from a pet store.

Now IF only cal kings had large clutches like corn snakes LOL

It is hard playing the odds game with cal king...patience.
