Congrats on an absolutely outstanding litter. How did you get an sharp albino from breeding a DH sunglow to a Squaretail. I'm sure the albino will be stunning as an adult. Keep em coming, Trey Schneller

I was thinking the same thing but was just going to take it for a mistake but an answer would be good LoL. Im just curious to know was it a mistake or a fluke.

awesome sharp! but i'm a little confused on the breeding. were both parents het squaretail and sharp? and is the albino considered a homozygous squaretail?

beautiful animal.

First off, that is a stunning animal, congrats! When I first looked at the pic, I couldn't see the squaretail influence...pattern wise. Then looking at your breeding of a DH Sunglow x squaretail, it would make since that this animal doesn't show the squaretail influence since that breeding would result in an albino HET squaretail. I'm assuming the squaretail was het albino???? Was the DH sunglow a hypo squaretail het albino OR Triple het(hypo het albino/het squaretail)? As I understand it, squaretails are recessive, so if you could explain the breeding/results a little more, that would be great. If they are not recessive, I have a HET squaretail male for sale-LOL! Either way, it is a GREAT looking animal, the stated parent stock and listed result just doesn't mesh. Maybe I'm just tired and the answers were all right there in your post...if so, sorry for my ignorance! Thanks

I didn't see the squaretail influence either. Don't get me wrong that is a great looking animal, but I was looking at it and thought ...squaretail? More breeding info would help.

Hi @all,
thanks for coments. Here the story behind the breeding:
This litter is produced from a DH Sunglow male Sharp Strain to a Squaretail Pastel female. so we don´t think about that what happens......surprise.....one albino in the litter. The details of the litter:
13 Squaretail Pastels poss. Het Albino, 6 Salmon Squaretail Pastels poss. DH Sunglow and one Albino Squaretail Pastel. We don´t know, what happens. i talk to my friend, he is a genetic specialist for humans, and he explain me, it´s possible, that you can get from a breeding like that a visual albino. The chance to get this is about 1.000.000 to 1. So we are happy about that and the colours of this albino are outstanding. We know also, that the squaretail markers are not shown on him. We will raise him up to breed him back with his sisters.
Thanks for interest.
