Which, if either, size tank is better for Squeeze now that he's getting larger? I need to get him into something bigger than his 20 gallon soon. The 40 would fit better in my house, but I don't know if it's large enough. He is a proven male.

it depends becuase depending on what company you get your aquarium from they will be different sizes. most 40 are like 18 inch wide and 48 long. i would say the sixty becuase its wider...but thats my non professional opinion.

It'd be an "Island aquarium". The kind with the half mesh/half glass lid. I love those because they're virtually escape proof, and durable. I don't know the exact measurements offhand. It didn't look any less wide than the 60, just shorter - but I could be wrong. I think it was 3 feet long - just eyeballing it.

A 40 breeder I believe is 36X18 and about 18 high. That is plenty big for your ball. They are bigger than what most people that use racks provide. I don't know measurements on the 60 but I think it may just be higher.

Go with the 40 breeder. The added heigth of the 60 is useless. 40 Breeder is your best bet.

Is longer than the 40. But I agree, the 40 should be fine.
