I want to sex my ATB but don't know of anyone that can probe. can't they be sexed by the size of their spurs? Though the spurs on mine seem small, I'm comparing it to my ball pythons, so if anyone has pictures of a male's spurs and a female's spurs, I'd appriciate it if you posted them. I'd post a picture of my snake, but I don't have a camera.

How big is the snake? I've found that they can only be reliably sexed by spur size if they are around 4 feet or larger. By then, males are very obvious as their spurs are big and hooked and have a very pronounced muscle right at the base of them. Female spurs tend to be smaller, straighter, closer to the body with little or no muscle at the base. If they are smaller than that size, sometimes males can look like females. If they are babies, sometimes all you have to do is restrain them a bit and they get all mad and will evert. That method can be a little messy though...
