I bought two 50% poss het males back in 01. Feels good to produce pieds from both of them. It also makes the bloodline stronger..

were both parents poss het or was one a defiinite het? I bet you sold that one to yourself, and it was an easy sale.

Dad was a pied and mom was a poss poss het... I did 50% poss het to poss poss het last season and got two pieds.

yes she was Randy. I finally got them to size. She was a half sib to the males I sent you. Did you ever breed the male you kept?

I haven't breed him yet (sent my biggest possible het pied girls off for a loan to a spider this year) but he is still one of my favorite snakes and I hope to breed him soon, maybe next year. Thanks again! I guess he can be upgraded from 25% chance to 50% chance now but with his extreme markers I’ve been considering him a fairly sure thing anyway.

Kind of makes me wonder if there isn't some genetic composition to the amount of white in a pied after all even if it isn't always 100% predictable. I remember seeing a picture of one of those 25% chance het girls of yours, perhaps the very mother of this pied, and she had the indicator stripes so far up her sides I asked if there was any way she could be a homozygous pied and not just a het.

Way to prove out those long shot snakes!!!!
